As a leading publisher of rural development literature in India, NIRDPR endeavours to share its research findings, observed field realities and views on issues of current topical importance with policy planners, academics and others through its regular publications, occasional papers, etc. In fulfilling its mandate to disseminate information on rural development, the Institute regularly publishes the Journal of Rural Development, a quarterly journal; Pragati, a monthly newsletter; and other publications, including research highlights, research reports, Rural Development Statistics, etc.
Pragati Newsletter carries event-oriented cover stories, in-house activities, relevant case studies, empowering success stories, interviews of rural development practitioners, visits and delegations – both Indian and foreign – to the Institute, and articles and other interesting content within the premise of rural development. The newsletter highlights the recommendations of various training programmes, seminars and workshops, and important events undertaken by NIRDPR on a regular basis. Through this medium, NIRDPR maintains regular contact with its stakeholders, including SIRDs, ETCs, DRDAs, and others. In addition, an initiative has been undertaken to provide more comprehensive coverage of activities of SIRDs & ETC in the Pragati Newsletter.
